Lisa qualified as a physiotherapist in 1989 from St Thomas' Hospital, London. After two years completing rotational posts, she decided to specialise in neurosciences. She worked in the NHS for 15 years in a variety of settings from neurosurgical intensive care to community rehabilitation. Before leaving to undertake private practice in 2003, she was Clinical Specialist at the Regional Rehabilitation Unit, Northwick Park Hospital. Since 2005, as well as her clinical work, she has worked as an expert witness in cases of catastrophic brain injury.
