Neurological rehabilitation aims to minimise the physical difficulties following neurological injury or disease and maximise function and independence.

Treatment in water is used for patients with specific symptoms such as pain, spasticity and profound weakness. The properties of water assist with movement and relaxation. Treatment can be carried out in a hydrotherapy (warm water) or regular pool.

The vestibular system is essential for normal balance. Dysfunction of the system can cause dizziness, vertigo and imbalance. A thorough assessment is required to identify the cause of symptoms and treatment includes specific manoeuvres and exercises.

Lisa is trained to deliver one to one Pilates treatments. This is modified for patients with neurological disorders. Neuro Pilates is very beneficial for re-education and control of movement.
